The movie is set in the fictional land of Kumandra, inspired by Southeast Asia. 1,500 years ago humans lived in harmony with dragons until evil monsters called the Druun threatened the land. To save their people the dragons sacrificed themselves to stop the Druun but one dragon’s intended sacrifice went wrong. This left the last dragon Sisu alive but turned to stone.
