The franchise is one of Disney’s most popular, and with the recent success of live-action remakes like The Lion King, it’s possible that the studio is considering making a live-action/CGI Lilo & Stitch movie.
For now, fans can enjoy the two existing Lilo & Stitch movies, as well as the TV show, merchandising, and more.
Why We Love The Lilo And Stitch Movies
There are several reasons why we love the Lilo and Stitch movies. They are heartwarming, hilarious, and full of adventure. The movies also teach some great life lessons, such as the importance of family and true friendship.
The first movie in the franchise, Lilo & Stitch, was released in 2002. It tells the story of a young Hawaiian girl named Lilo who adopts a strange creature called Stitch. While most people think Stitch is cute, he is actually a destructive alien who has escaped from prison. When Lilo’s sister is killed in a car accident, she blames Stitch and tries to get rid of him. However, over time, she comes to realize that he is not so bad after all and the two become close friends.
The second movie, Stitch! The Movie, was released in 2003 and picks up where the first one left off. In this movie, we see Stitch trying to find his place in the world and learn more about his past. Along the way, he meets other aliens like himself and even finds true love.
Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has A Glitch was released in 2005 and is considered by many to be the best Lilo & Stitch movie of all time. In this movie, we see Stitch starting to experience some problems with his powers and he begins to worry that he will never be good enough for Lilo. With the help of his friends, he sets out to find a way to fix himself before it’s too late.
The most recent addition to the franchise is 2016’s Lilo & Stich: Aloha e Komo Mai! This TV movie sees Lilo and Stich living happily on Earth until they are forced to go back to Hawaii when one of their experiments goes wrong. While there, they must deal with new challenges as well as some familiar faces from their past.
Lilo & Stich is one of our all-time favorite Disney franchises and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for these beloved characters.
